Hidden Harvest Triples Produce Distributions in September Following Launch of New Refrigerated Box Truck

Coachella, CA — Hidden Harvest is proud to announce a remarkable achievement: 33,339 pounds of fresh produce were distributed in September 2025, more than tripling the amount distributed during the same month last year.

In September 2024, Hidden Harvest distributed 8,983 pounds of produce. The dramatic increase in 2025 reflects the organization’s strengthened operational capacity following the addition of its new refrigerated box truck earlier this year—funded entirely by generous supporters at the April 2025 fundraiser.

“This milestone is a direct result of our community’s support,” said Francisco Linares, Executive Director of Hidden Harvest. “When donors helped us purchase a second truck, we promised to Double Our Distributions. This September, we more than fulfilled that promise.”

The expanded fleet now allows Hidden Harvest to rescue more produce from packing houses and farms while efficiently distributing larger quantities to senior centers, families, and community partners across the Coachella Valley. The increased capacity also strengthens the organization’s year-round ability to respond to rising food insecurity.

Hidden Harvest extends heartfelt appreciation to the donors, volunteers, and partners who made this growth possible. Your support is transforming what’s possible—and ensuring more neighbors receive free, fresh produce every month.
