Hidden Harvest Launches New Refrigerated Box Truck Made Possible by Community Support

Coachella, CA — Hidden Harvest is excited to share that its newly purchased and fully branded refrigerated box truck is now officially on the road, expanding the organization’s ability to deliver free, fresh produce across the Coachella Valley.  The truck was funded through the incredible generosity of supporters at Hidden Harvest’s April 2025 fundraiser, where $150,000 was raised to fully cover the truck, refrigeration system, and custom branding.

“This new truck represents a major step forward for our operations,” said Francisco Linares, Executive Director of Hidden Harvest. “We can now get to work on our promise to Double Our Distributions and reach more neighbors in need.”

The addition of the new vehicle allows Hidden Harvest to dedicate its older, larger box truck entirely to produce rescue, picking up higher-volume loads from packing houses and farms. Meanwhile, the new, smaller, more maneuverable truck will focus on distribution, making it easier to access senior centers, housing communities, and partner sites throughout the valley.  With both trucks now working in tandem, Hidden Harvest has already begun increasing weekly poundage and strengthening its outreach.
